Charles VanArsdale Scholarship Endowment

The Charles VanArsdale Scholarship Endowment provides a $1,000 scholarship and was established by the Bank of Castile directors in honor of Charles “Bud” VanArsdale to recognize his long and distinguished service as President of the bank, his continuing efforts in support of the many community groups and programs, and his special interest in SUNY Geneseo education, the School of Business, and the relationship of the college to economic expansion in Genesee Valley communities.
CRITERIA: This scholarship is awarded to a student who a) is a high school graduating senior who lives in Livingston, Wyoming or Genesee counties, b) is first-year, c) is in the School of Business, d) is full-time, and e) demonstrate academic excellence.
PROCESS: The amount of this scholarship is for tuition. The scholarship is renewable provided the recipient a) is in the School of Business, b) has cumulative grade-point averages of 3.0, c) demonstrates potential for leadership and success in business, including an interest in entrepreneurism, and d) demonstrates academic excellence.
