Dr. William and Bela Small Memorial Scholarship Endowment

The Dr. William and Bela Small Memorial Scholarship Endowment provides scholarships and was established by Dr. Srinivasa Leelamma, Distinguished Professor of Mathematics Emerita, and Dr. V. Lakshmikanthan in memory of Dr. William Small, Distinguished Service Professor of Mathematics Emeritus, and his spouse, Bela Small.
CRITERIA: This scholarship is awarded to a current student who a) is academically outstanding, b) is an undergraduate, c) best exemplifies through his/her activities the promotion of a diverse campus community, and d) is either a Philosophy major, a Music major, or a Math major.
PROCESS: The scholarship is awarded on an alternating basis to a Philosophy major, a Music major and a Math major by the faculty in those departments. If no Philosophy major or Music major can be identified, then the scholarship may be awarded to a qualifying Math major.
