Sapirman Family Scholarship Endowment for Community Service and Leadership

The Sapirman Family Scholarship Endowment for Community Service and Leadership is at least a $3,000 scholarship(s) and was established by Nadine Kadell Sapirman ’90 and Loui Sapirman ’91 in honor of their worthy intent to support SUNY Geneseo students, recognize excellence, and the mission of the College.
CRITERIA: The scholarship is awarded to a student who is: a) either incoming or currently enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; b) has demonstrated a commitment to community service through a minimum of forty (40) hours uncompensated community service in the preceding year; c) has demonstrated a commitment to leadership through leadership learning and/or leadership position(s) on campus; and d) has at the time of initial award and maintains at the time of renewal a minimum of a 3.0 Preference given to applicants who are Members of Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and have proven a commitment to community service which has a positive impact on the environment (including clean-ups and sustainability initiatives. cumulative GPA; and e) has demonstrated a financial need.
