Michael J. Thompson '86 Memorial Family Scholarship Endowment

The Michael J. Thompson ’86 Memorial Family Scholarship Endowment was established by Marcia L. (Davidson) Thompson ’86 and the Thompson family children, is in his memory, allowing his legacy as an advocate for Geneseo and as a committed educator, to live on.

CRITERIA: Three (3) scholarships awarded annually, in the amount of $2,500.00 will be awarded to students who a) are currently enrolled full-time, b) entering their Junior year, c) intends to enter a service career in teaching, d) is in good academic standing, per the College’s definition of “good standing”, and e) demonstrates financial need.
PROCESS: Applicants will be evaluated based on eligibility criteria, letter(s) of recommendation and a personal essay, outlining the applicant’s aspirations as an educator. The scholarship award may be renewable for up to two years and applied towards non-tuition educational expenses.
