Dr. James L. Allan 1961 Scholarship Endowment

The Dr. James L. Allan 1961 Scholarship Endowment is given to an outstanding senior who have made exceptional contributions to student life. Preference will be given to students who intend to pursue graduate study in student personnel services or guidance. Dr. Allan retired in 1997 after 34 years of service to SUNY Geneseo. Throughout his lengthy tenure, Dr. Allan served as a counselor, mentor, advisor and friend to hundreds of Geneseo students. On the occasion of his retirement, the Dr. James Allan Scholarship as created in his honor. The scholarship is supported by many of Dr. Allan’s friends, former student and colleagues.
CRITERIA: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is a) a senior, and b) made exceptional contributions to student life.
